Samsung Mobile Phones: the Mobile Phones of the Year

December 11th, 2009

Mike Smith asked:

So far the year 2008 has been an exciting year in the mobile phone market with Apple releasing their new iPhone 3G, Nokia with the New N96 and Sony Ericsson releasing a whole host of handsets trying to find something that will make the market buzz but so far with no luck.

You may ask yourself who has taken this year’s market and without a doubt the answer is Samsung with handset after handset making a real splash in the market.

It all started with is first full touch screen phone the Samsung F480 Tocco boasting such features as a large 2.8 inch touch screen, 7.2 MBPS for high speed data access, a 5 mega pixel camera and at last something to challenge the Nokia N95 with up to 8gb memory.

Samsung Mobile Phones then went from strength to strength with the Samsung Omnia now sporting an even bigger and better 3.2inch touch screen with the ability to display 16:9 aspect for all those widescreen needs not to mention, wi-fi, HSDPA, 3G and a whacking 16gb of memory moving right into to the iPhone territory for data storage.

One would have thought that Samsung would have kicked back legs up riding the wave of these two fantastic phones but it seems like this was not good enough with Samsung continuing to bring into the world, a phone with even more impressive style and features – the Samsung i8510 with 16GB of memory, again.

The Samsung i8510 16GB packs in so much, it’s hard to know where to begin. It’s simply the most functional mobile phone currently available. Not only is it packed with more features than a Swiss army knife not to mention the other mobile phones in the market at the moment, but also it is very stylish and fashionable. The Samsung i8510 is a slider phone with 8GB of internal memory. This version also comes with an 8GB memory card, taking its total memory capacity to 16GB. It has an 8 mega pixel camera with geo-tagging, auto focus, image stabilizer, face detection and blink detection. It can record high resolution video at 120 frames per second and there’s a built-in video editor. With TV out functionality videos and images can be viewed on a larger screen TV.

For even more flexibility and versatility the Samsung i8510 runs on the Symbian operating system. It has an optical mouse and a 2.8 inch screen with accelerometer. Other main features include HSDPA and Wifi for fast web browsing, a built in GPS receiver for sat nav and a media player supporting the now legendary DivX format and other advanced video formats.

Let’s wait and watch out for more pleasant surprises from Samsung in the days to come.

June 15th, 2009

Mobile Phone Megastore asked:

Ericsson Satio

Sony Ericsson have decided to really show off with his one. Groundbreakingly amazing is what some have called this handset with an impressive 12 megapixel digital camera built-in. A 12MP camera on a mobile phone? What’s the point? – Well, with that kind of resolution, you can take pictures big enough to go on a billboard poster (well nearly anyway!).

After hearing about the Sony Ericsson Satio Mobile Phone’s 12MP camera it immediately occurred to me that with this high resolution camera, there must come a requirement for an extremely large amount of memory. That’s fine because bundled in the box with the Sony Ericsson Satio is an 8GB memory card.

So what else is in the box? Sony Ericsson Satio Battery Battery Charger 8GB Memory card USB cable Media manager Colour-matched stereo portable hands free User guide Here’s the Sony Ericsson Satio Technical Data:
