Matt Sharp asked:
HTC have announced that they plan on letting users of the three most recent WinMo phones upgrade to version 6.5 when it comes out. Let’s check out the three phones the upgrade will be available for.
HTC Touch Diamond2
The HTC Touch Diamond2 actually does a very good job of making it so you don’t have to go into standard Windows menus that often, as on top of the operating system, the interface is HTC’s patented TouchFLO 3D setup, where everything is achieved through various finger swipes and sweeping gestures. It is truly intuitive, and it’s the reason why the HTC Touch Diamond2 is such an unmitigated joy to use. Of course, it’s not all about being pretty, a phone needs to have decent features and the HTC Touch Diamond2 has them in spades, from the 5 megapixel camera, through GPS, to incredibly fast HSDPA internet access (not to mention the superb Opera Mobile web browser). To many, the HTC Touch Diamond2 is the ultimate Windows Mobile phone and it’s only set to get better when it becomes upgradable to Windows Mobile 6.5.
HTC Touch Pro2
Next up is the HTC Touch Pro2, and here, you get the added benefit of a QWERTY keyboard. However, like the previous TyTN II, with the HTC Touch Pro2, you can also tilt the screen up after sliding it open, putting it at a more natural viewing angle. In terms of other hardware, the HTC Touch Pro2 also gives you a 5 megapixel camera, HSDPA internet access (as well as WiFi), and GPS, putting it right up there in the top echelon of mobile phones. Software-wise, the HTC Touch Pro2 is powered by Windows Mobile, but, like an increasing number of Windows Mobile phones, it uses a proprietary interface on top (TouchFLO 3D, again, as with the Touch Diamond2), that takes the power of Windows Mobile, and makes it user-friendly. All in all, the HTC Touch Pro2 is one incredible mobile phone.
HTC Snap
So, both the HTC Touch Diamond2 and the QWERTY-enabled HTC Touch Pro2 will be upgradable to Windows Mobile 6.5 when it gets released. But HTC aren’t stopping there; they’re also letting non-touchscreen users upgrade, if they have the email-centric HTC Snap. Anyone who’s used Windows Mobile before will know it’s exceptionally good at emails and info management, and the HTC Snap is no exception to that rule. You get the same excellent POP3 and Exchange Server (for your corporate emails) support, but the HTC Snap also includes something new: Inner Circle. This is a new feature for the HTC Snap, that lets you set an Inner Circle of friends or important people, and automatically prioritises emails from them, to make sure you get the emails that matter the most, first.

Faraz Ahmed asked:
Technology plays a significant role in our daily lives; technology has without a doubt, made our lives very easy for us. Technology, along with its unlimited advantages also has a lot of disadvantages. Technology is a gift to ourselves so that we can live our lives more comfortably but many people tend to abuse this gift for their own pleasure or personal gain. Cell Phone is one such device that has made our life so easy that we cannot even think of a world without it. Cell Phones can be used to stay in contact with your friends and family no matter where you are the added camera saves you the trouble of taking your digital camera everywhere with you and services such as GPRS keeps us connected to the internet no matter where we are. But these services can also be abused by people.
Scams:
A rather new problem with cell phones is scam messaging. Low lives and criminals try to trick people into sending money into their account. This is becoming a real problem now as people posing as the network inform people via sms that they have won a lot of money and in order to get their hands on that money they should send a small amount usually $20 or $30 to this account or number. Sadly a survey shows that an alarming amount of people actually fall for this and do actually send the money, and then wait for their prize. Messaging which should have been a fun way of staying in contact with your friends is also used for this purpose and in this way the service is abused.
Pranks and Misleading Information:
Cell phones are also used to carry out pranks and other jokes which in actuality are not funny and they do more damage that good. Pranks such as bomb threats and death threats are not funny at all, yet people send them to random numbers just to have a good laugh. They do this because they know that their identity is secure and there is no way the receiver of that message can find out who the sender is. Similarly, forwarding messages that are unverified and half true can be destructive. It can worsen an already bad situation. For example bomb scares spread like wild fire by forwarding that sms to a large number of people, then those people forward it to other people and so on. This can create paranoia and anxiety.
No More Privacy:
Due to cell phones are lives are no longer private. Cell phone cameras have made sure of this. You can never be sure when someone is taking your picture or recording your video. Due to the powerful cameras and zoom features of modern cell phones anybody’s picture or video can be taken in high quality, no matter where they are. Further more tracking services by network providers can be accessed by anyone and we can be located anytime via our cell phones.
Pornography:
Now here is a problem nobody wants to discuss yet it is so openly available in our society. It is undesirable as well as uncontrollable. Due to GPRS and 3G technology internet and **** sites can be easily accessed by anyone anywhere and at anytime as well as minors via their cell phones. Internet on cell phones offers us huge advantages; it can offer us a sea of information. Thus it is up to the user how he uses internet on his or her cell phone. It can be used positively and negatively.
Proper use of cell phones would yield higher global efficiency and output. But if exploited, it would almost equally generate the same degree of damage. It is no longer a question of how bad technology can affect people but how do people tend to use that technology.

Fuizy Martin asked:
It has got a phonebook which can take 200 entries in it. Can make a call record of 10 dialed, 20 received and missed calls. There is no card slot in this phone, so there is no way this phone can be expanded. Messaging can be done through SMS which is better with T9 feature installed in it
Body:- It’s a nice sober phone if you ask me. In fact one of the simplest I have seen so far. Going by the feature and the cut design this mobile has got, it priced quite accordingly. But, before we touch the price, let us see what all it has got:
It has got a phonebook which can take 200 entries in it. Can make a call record of 10 dialed, 20 received and missed calls. There is no card slot in this phone, so there is no way this phone can be expanded. Messaging can be done through SMS which is better with T9 feature installed in it. Calculator and Reminder are another thing which can help you deal some of your daily issues. It does have a speaker phone which lets your entire family listen to your conversation whenever you wish. Loaded with polyphonic ringtones and Vibrating alerts, it lets you set your own ringtones.
The Standard Stand – by time is of 400 hrs and talktime is of 9 hrs. In fact even if you on continuously go on listening to FM, it can take you on for 3 days maximum without recharging. 9 hrs give you pretty cool time for talking. Apart from this, it has pre – installed games and FM radio with RDS to ward off the boredom. The only color it is sold in pure black.
Sony Ericcson has launched this very basic phone with the idea of promoting it among the students and old aged people who are not very familiar with the functions of these new age gadgets. It’s simple and sober in looks and has very simple keys making it easy to use this phone. In fact, none of the users have to invest a lot of time to get used to this phone. Priced at just Rs 1749/-, it also is very cheap seeing the quality of Sony Ericcson mobile phones. So, here you get a good quality basic mobiles phone at a very low price.
